Effendi taught that we should have such respect and care for nature and all its creatures that we should not even shake snow from a tree, unless it is harmful for it. We should beware of any careless gesture toward another, toward a tree or its beautiful snow dress. And Shaykh Nur taught the same principle to a dervish who was sitting on the grass in a gathering and was idly picking the grass with his hand. Nur pointed out that this was not dervish adab as it demonstrated carelessness and insensitivity and it harmed another being for no reason.
May our great guides teach us greater sensitivity to our heart and to all beings who are part of our heart.
