“Allah’s saving Grace has come and the victory of Love is here, give joyful news to the faithful ones, O Muhammad.”
One of the teachers of the Law asked Jesus which of the commandments was the first and most important.
“And Jesus answered him, ‘The first of all the commandments is, Hear O Israel, the Lord thy God is One. And thou shall love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, with all thy soul and with all thy mind and with all thy strength. This is the first Commandment. And the second is this, that thou shall love the other as thyself. There is no other commandment greater than these.”
One evening on the second floor in the Dergah in New York, Shaykh Nur asked ‘what is a dervish.’ After going around the room and receiving each of our responses he stated, The dervish is the other.
O Resurrection of all hearts into the eternal Heart of Love!
