Fasting in the Ramadan
Dear Ones,
Alhamdulillah. Fasting is not easy, at least for me and some of you. And yet I know how utterly valuable it is for us, for our body, our emotions, our spiritual state, our heart, our mind. Essentially it is an offering we make to Allah because Allah has asked for it. So unless you are ill - which is a condition many have these days because of work stress and the toxins in food, water and air which make people sick – it is good to try the fast. In the last years I have suggested different ways of approaching it that would not be so arduous but would still give the taste of fasting. That is important. Please consult your Circle Guides for advice. Also, the last ten days are easier because of the great influx of Baraka. So that might be a time when you fast. Or you can do it on the weekends when you do not have to work. In any case, consult your Circle Guides and get their help.
If you cannot fast at all then just spend your days and nights in gratitude and praise to Allah and pray for others. And feed people who might not have the means to eat sufficiently. That is the exchange with Allah for not fasting!
Isn’t that great? But…fasting is better for you if you can do it. Whatever we can offer in the Ramadan is good.
Allah we rely on Your Tender Mercy and Love
